Introducing Viewfinder Partners

Today’s the day! After months of brewing a new brand, I’m so excited to finally share it with you today.

Lee Price Ideas is now Viewfinder Partners.

What the name means

Why Viewfinder? And who are the Partners?

As viewfinders, we help leaders develop their unique perspectives. We help visionaries clarify their vision. We listen, interview, nod a lot, and then crystallize all of those ideas into one clear message. Most people already have a lot of good ideas. Our job is to help them discover those ideas and package them to share with others.

And while I started this work as a one-woman shop, the business has grown over the past two years. I’m no longer working solo — I have a team of marketers, writers, and multimedia wizards who partner with me. Together, we serve as thought partners to our clients, working closely with them to nurture and develop their big ideas.

Who we work with

I firmly believe that thought leaders are people — living, breathing people with names and faces and favorite foods. Thought leaders run companies, but thought leaders are not companies.

We work with visionary leaders and the marketers who support them. Most of our clients are founders and CEOs, but we also work with other experts and leaders throughout an organization. Our favorite clients are people who have a unique perspective and are ready to be a voice for their organization.

While our day-to-day work is with the thought leader, we’re also liaisons and translators between the thought leader and their marketing team. Often, marketers are desperate to get inside their senior leaders’ heads. What are the big ideas they can share, spread, and build campaigns around? We connect thought leaders’ big ideas with the power of their marketing team.

What we offer

What does a thought leadership firm actually…do?

We are format-agnostic, meaning we believe in the power of ideas. The platforms we use to share those ideas have changed a lot in the past decade-plus that I’ve worked in B2B marketing (Google+, I’m looking at you). And I know the platforms that are in fashion will continue to evolve. That’s why our primary offering is thought leadership strategy.

Once we have a clear strategy (What are your goals? Who is your audience? What are your unique ideas? And how will you generate and share those ideas?), we work with clients to develop high-end thought leadership content.

Right now, we’re focused on offering:

Thought leadership strategy

If you’re ready to put strategy behind your aimless Linkedin posting, the new year is a good time to start. I pulled together my most common advice and packaged it into a quick-start guide for you: How to Create a Thought Leadership Strategy. You can download it in the sidebar of this page. –>

Podcast production

Audio is one of the richest ways to tell a story, so it’s no wonder podcast listenership is booming and your dentist has a podcast. But just like every content format that has come before, podcasts aren’t a quick item to check off your list and keep up with the Joneses (or Mailchimps). Producing a compelling podcast that people LOVE requires coming up with your unique hook, show premise, and sound.

We developed 5 original B2B podcasts in 2021, and we’re booking new podcast clients now. If 2022 is your year to start a podcast (a really good one), let’s talk.

Ghostwriting

We develop deep, long-term relationships with thought leaders. We get to know them so well that we know what they’re thinking before they think it. We partner with them to challenge and develop their ideas. We aren’t a content marketing agency that can pump out a ton of blog posts for your site, but we are a strategic ghostwriting resource for thought leaders who are looking for a partner.

We’re currently working with clients on books, long-form articles, and internal communications. Do you need help writing high-priority content in 2022? Does your CEO need a ghostwriter? Let’s talk.

Building the brand

Finally, a HUGE thank you to Casey Carroll and Caitlin Fitzpatrick, the creative, empathetic team behind Bold Woman Brands. They helped me define a name and branding for Viewfinder Partners. And if you’ll allow me to get a little woo-woo, here’s the meaning behind the brand:

The brand colors are navy blue and pink. Navy represents depth, strength, and the uncertain places we must dive into to find new paths. Navy is expansive like the ocean and the sky. Pink represents friendship, friendliness, and ease, the elements I hope to bring to all of our work.

The imagery we use is all about seeking and finding — telescopes, lighthouses, and peepholes. We’re looking for signals in the depths.

We use collage to signal the ways ideas and story threads overlap and interconnect.

Thanks for reading, and here’s to a 2022 powered by big ideas.

Idea Collecting

As a thought leadership ghostwriter, I’m really an idea collector. My job is to interview people and pull out the one golden nugget — the juicy idea — that stays lodged in my brain. A Tuesday morning drive over a big bridge reminded me of a good idea I’ve collected lately.
